EWD Seminar Report Ethiopia April 2009

ENCOUNTER WITH DESTINY SEMINAR REPORT

ADDIS-ABABA, ETHIOPIA (3RD – 5TH APRIL 2009)

When God visits a city, even the devil acknowledges His Presence. This is the summary of the Encounter with Destiny Seminar in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The power and presence of God was made to manifest as multitudes gathered from all parts of the city to encounter God through His servant, Pastor Tunji Adeyinka. The entire three days was a memorable experience that left a lasting impact on the capital city of Ethiopia.
The outpouring of the spirit was at a higher dimension, that even passers-by began to speak of the exploits God did through His servant- Pastor Tunji Adeyinka, during his first missionary trip to the city of Addis.
The three day seminar which started on Friday 3rd of April through Saturday, the 4th ended with an anointing service on Sunday the 5th of April 2009.
Beehive of activity started hours before the program of the day, as many people were engaged in fervent prayers before the commencement of the service. The people were eager and expectant to connect with God. The opening prayer kicked off at 4:30pm, followed by an explosive session of praise. After an hour of intercession, the word of God came through His choice vessel. The impact of the on the people could not be denied, their faces glowed as they received the word of Grace. God’s servant reiterated the essence and the destiny of man in the program of God in time. It was a glorious time as people sat patiently for hours savouring God’s word with rapt attention.
The day two of the seminar was spectacular. The meeting started at 1:30pm. The dimension of the crowd that gathered was great; the main auditorium of the Mega City Hall was filled to maximum capacity. Like in the days of Paul, the overflow was jam-packed, that people scrambled to fill every available space, to connect the anointing of the Lord that was mightily present that day. The servant of God declared His counsel of God to the people. The illumination of the word was so great that several times the message was interrupted with shouts of excitement. The atmosphere of this meeting, which lasted over seven hours, was electrifying, as all were alert with radiant and bright faces.
Due to the magnitude of attendance of previous days, the venue was moved to a larger hall, which was bigger than twice the size of the Mega City Hall. The third day of the meeting witnessed Pastors leading their entire congregation from their service to the meeting venue. Some Pastors were reported to have closed their Sunday service in order not to deprive their flock the opportunity of attending this great meeting. The attendance was massive; the new hall was packed full before the commencement of the meeting at 1:30pm. Following the series of worship and intercession, which lasted about four hours, the servant of God taught for over two hours on responsibility of believers to judge any manifestation of evil in and around their lives; and the need for believers to collectively pray for God’s and spiritual revival upon the land. It was a time of refreshing and great spiritual re-awakening. In attendance were over 25 heads of mission/church. There was special impartation for all ministers present for grace to successfully accomplish their mandate in the land. In closing, God’s servant poured blessings upon the people. Even after the close of the meeting, people stayed to dance and glorify God, who visited the city.
It is worthy of note, the expressive nature by which the people of Addis, praised and worshipped God via vigorous shakes, dance, shouts and jump.
Of a truth, when God gives His word, He makes great the company of them that publish it. JESUS IS LORD.

Testimonies LBI Ethiopia

LIGHT BIBLE INSTITUTE ADDIS ABABA, ETHIOPA - TESTIMONIES

I would like to thank God for his servant Pastor Tunji whom God sent with a message to our nation, Ethiopia. I have seen Jesus in the Life and Ministry of Pastor Tunji. The impact of Lime-Light Bible Institute goes much further than what I can express with words. I have been taught to properly study the Bible in my hands, to have a prepared life, to accurately manage God’s resources in my own personal life, to be disciplined, to have strategic plans and to avoid condemning people and to embrace them as my partners. I have received adequate knowledge and understanding. Concerning ministry, I have learnt do the assignment God gave me and to place myself where he wants me and to understand my direction. It has helped me to be focused, to develop a relationship with others, to be kingdom-minded. I have been impacted with adequate knowledge concerning leadership and management. The school has removed ignorance from me replacing it with understanding. My prayer is that the Lime-Light Bible Institute would continue to equip the labourers for the Lord’s work.

May the Lord bless his precious servant, Pastor Tunji Adeyinka.

Rhema Faith Ministries – Addis A Glory to God who loves me. The Lord called me from a Muslim back ground, I had spent 3 years in a Bible School [not Lime-Light Bible Institute] where I was issued a certificate. I have found that the teaching within the 30 days at Lime-Light Bible Institute is much deeper than the other 3 years training. I would like to thank God for the President of LBI, Pastor Tunji. I now have understanding of a lot of things as,

  • LBI has helped me to discover myself
  • LBI has helped me to have the fear of God
  • LBI has enlightened me to consume myself in the knowledge of the Word of God.
  • LBI has empowered me to impact others with the Word of God.
  • LBI has taught me to be careful for the Word of God.
  • LBI has taught me to be right with God’s Word.Frankly speaking my hungered soul has been enriched.

I thank you Pastor Tunji. I thank God for giving you such a ministry of a wise shepherd to raise faithful workers.

I was an assistant pastor in a church some years ago. I left that church to plant a church in line with a vision God gave me. When I was wondering how to go about it, the Lime-Light Bible Institute came up. It was a great opportunity for me. In the school God spoke to me through our lecturers. I was praying and asking God to give an idea on how to plant the church according to the vision he gave me. God spoke to me in the school, on the way to plant the church, impart me with the knowledge and strategies to serve and fellowship with other ministries and with other local churches. I now know that the gate of hell cannot prevail against the church of God .The school also showed me the mistakes I had made in the past and I know I will do better subsequently. I wish to thank the man of God, Pastor Tunji who is the pioneer and father of Ethiopian churches. God bless your family and your ministry.

First and foremost I want to praise the Lord for what he has done for our country Ethiopia, uniting the churches and people through the man of God, Pastor Tunji. I got saved in December 2004. In 2006, I had a vision, in which lots of plates were scattered in the church premises and I heard a voice that said unto me pick all these plates, polish them and put them properly into the box, but first be equipped, and I saw full gear of a soldier, and I was given a scripture- Ephesians 6 vs 10-18. I didn’t have full understanding of the vision and the word of God given to me. In 2007, I had another vision instructing me to go and learn from a man of God named Pastor Tunji, whom I do not know as at then. I was directed and went to look for him at Winners’ Chapel in Addis Ababa but he had left there.

I want to confirm that the Lime-Light Bible Institute has a divine mandate to all nations. It has imparted much on my personal life and ministry. The school also has taught me how to be focus in ministry.

May the Lord bless you exceedingly, Pastor Tunji.

• Through the Lime-Light Bible Institute, the lord has shaped my life, equipped me with understanding, wisdom and power. I now realize that I have a part in the eternal program of God and that I have a heavenly mandate to fulfill in my sphere of influence. All the courses learnt have built my life. I have decided to preach Jesus, and to minister with kingdom-mindedness more than ever before and to share the knowledge I received. I have a personal assurance that the Lime-Light Bible Institute has a divine mission from God to fulfill here on earth. I have obtained a lot of understanding from God through the school.

I thank God first and foremost for giving us people after his own heart. Secondly, I thank Pastor Tunji. He is a father whom God has given to us. I also thank all his staff and colleagues.

* Glory to God Almighty, for making the Lime-Light Bible Institute, to be. I will like to thank Pastor Tunji, the visioneer of this school who was mandated to rise this generation. I can see the grace of God working in his life. I also thank our brothers who came from different countries of the world to give us these teachings. They have imparted our lives. For the rest of my life I will appreciate God who through His servant has built me up with His wisdom. The impartation I received has changed my life in many ways. I had participated in different trainings but this particular one has opened my eyes to wisdom.

* I have been mentally retarded for more than 27 years. By the grace of God I was raised from living on the streets and became normal in my mind. I had been experiencing unworthy manners like eating my own feaces and defecating on my cloth as well as on my bed. I came with someone to the Lime-Light Bible Institute where I got my deliverance from demonic possession and mental oppression. Praise be to God I am now made whole.

-Mesfin Assefa

• I received grace and peace abundantly through Pastor Tunji’s ministry. My life has been changed. Thanks to God who gave me the special privilege to attend the Lime-Light Bible Institute.

I’m glad to be one of the students of the Bible School as God has used it to keep my ministry on the path of growth. I have learnt leadership, management, how to preach, how to communicate and work with others, and how to keep the flock.
